Mike's fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity

Over the next 2 years I will be:
- Selling prints of a painting commissioned by myself called 'Into The Blue' (as per the image). The prints show the 2025-26 Clipper Race, specifically a yacht named 'GOSH' flighting storms on the Ocean, and are signed by the crew - if you want to get a feel for what they (we) went through then the benign painting doesn't do it justice - watch the video! ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvSLTOSqZTw ) This is a limited edition print of only 70 copies. These can be purchased through the artist Matthew Emery and will soon be available through auction on the link below, with all profits going 100% to the Charity:-

In addition, I will be sailing a home-made boat around the British Isles with a team of volunteers. That epic little voyage will stretch the limits of sailing for such a small vessel and may take 2 years allowing for work and weather windows to align. The boat itself has already taken 2 years to build but is almost ready for launch. You can reward this endeavour by contributing direct to the charity through this page, with heartfelt thanks from all those involved.
What GOSH Do
We help Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), a world-renowned paediatric hospital leading in over 60 clinical specialities, go above and beyond for seriously ill children. GOSH is one of the world’s leading centres for paediatric care and research, with expertise in rare and complex childhood conditions.
Despite the NHS funding the day-to-day running of the Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital has always depended on charitable support to make it extraordinary. We depend on supporters, fundraisers and partners to enable kinder and better treatments, bringing hope for children with the rarest and most complex illnesses.
Together, we have achieved groundbreaking advancements in areas such as gene therapy, rare genetic diseases, and regenerative medicine—pioneering treatments that are often unavailable elsewhere. We believe no childhood should be lost to serious illness.
As a leading centre for paediatric healthcare, GOSH collaborates with top research institutions worldwide, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in paediatric medicine. Through pioneering clinical trials and innovative treatments, GOSH continues to enhance the lives of children globally, solidifying its reputation for medical excellence and research success.
GOSH treats some of the rarest and most complex conditions in the world — diseases so specialised that, without GOSH Charity’s efforts to find treatments, they would likely be overlooked by the pharmaceutical industry due to high costs. As a result, children around the world would be left facing devastating illnesses with no hope of a cure.
How to get involved
With your support, we can continue to help GOSH go above and beyond by funding groundbreaking research, cutting-edge medical equipment and the creation of child-centred facilities to help save more young lives, and essential support services that help save childhoods too.
Together, we can make a difference.
