Story
In light of the recent tragedy of a local skydiving accident, involving a close family friend, the company I was due to skydive with is now no longer operating.
I have now changed my activity and I will be abseiling Mount Batton in Plymouth on Saturday 30th August at 12pm
Thank you to everyone for the support so far and my fundraising event raised over £400 which is just incredible. Please help me to raise my fundraising target if you can.
My name is Millie and I’m going to be doing an abseil for Devon Air Ambulance. I’m coming to the end of my second year of my Paramedicine degree at the University of Plymouth.
Devon Air Ambulance are an incredible charity, one that is unbelievably valuable in our rural county.
I’ve seen firsthand the skills and expertise that the critical care teams can bring and the difference they make to patients. They are able to provide critical care in the community, pre-hospitally. This not only can be the difference between life and death in some situations, but it can provide better patient outcomes.
In Devon, our rural community means that road travel time by land ambulance can be quite long, and in situations where seconds and minutes count, it is vital our community has access to the air ambulance. Devon Air Ambulance is NOT government funded and relies completely on funding provided by YOU.
Please help me support Devon Air Ambulance by donating. Whatever you can give, every single pound counts and can make a difference.
I’m so proud of the work we do for patients in the ambulance service and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to train as a paramedic. Devon Air Ambulance play a huge role in supporting Ambulance Crews and patients, so please help me to raise as much money as possible.
