South Coast Ultra Challenge 2024 · 7 September 2024 ·

Since 1886, Mayhew has been at the heart of the communities in which we work providing a lifeline to thousands of dogs and cats in need. Our focus has always been on keeping pets and owners together through community-based welfare, veterinary, rescue and rehoming services in the UK and overseas.

Story

In memory of Oli Juste and to mark two years since his sudden passing, a team of us (myself Miranda, Rob and Lucy) will be walking the South Coast Ultra Challenge of 100km to raise funds for Mayhew's 'Lasting Love' campaign and the recent opened Oli Juste Wing.

Polly would also like to take on a challenge in memory of her Godfather. In May, Polly will be running a mile a day for Mayhew to raise funds for this special charity.

The Lasting Love Campaign: Keeping pets and people together raises vital funds for their London clinic, which every day work to keep pets and people together by providing preventative veterinary care to the companions of pet owners who could not otherwise afford it, free of charge and without judgement.

This campaign feels a special way to remember Oli, whose commitment to the human-animal bond was an inspiration to us all. Through this campaign Mayhew hope to reach even more pets whose owners cannot afford essential preventative veterinary treatment.
