Really hoping to do it this time!

This year, the Big Walk is raising funds for the Insigneo Institute at the University of Sheffield.

Up to a third of premature infants are at risk of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), a condition that can affect them for life. Standard scans use radiation that is too dangerous for these babies, meaning doctors have to treat them without seeing the full picture.

The Institute has developed a breakthrough way of imaging children’s lungs using safe, non-invasive MRI scans, and the fundraising will help bring in the specialist expertise needed to expand this technology across the UK.
