I will be walking Camino de Santiago, 280 km across the Portugal and Spain. It all started as a personal challenge, a decision to step outside my comfort zone, challenge myself, and experience something completely new.

Now I feel that it could serve a purpose beyond myself. What starts as a personal journey can become an opportunity to give back, raise awareness and make a difference to lives that depend on the kindness of others. So while I walk I want to use this journey to give something back.

I have a dog of my own and I know how much love, joy and companionship an animal can bring into our lives. It also reminds me how vulnerable animals can be and how much they rely on people to care for and protect them.

That’s why I’ve chosen to raise money for Animals In Need Northamptonshire, an organisation dedicated to giving vulnerable animals the care, protection and chance they deserve.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help turn my steps into something bigger providing hope and support to animals who need someone to stand up for them.
