Story

Due to a few last minute drop outs - which would mean lost fundraising for Moya Cole Hospice on the entry fees and sponsorship money - I made a last minute decision on Thursday 2nd April to sign up to the Manchester Marathon an hour before the deadline, to try and do what I can to raise some money for them and help them keep doing their amazing work to support people with cancer and life-limiting illnesses, plus their families, friends and carers.

This all means I have less than three weeks to prepare to run 26.2 miles, when I've not run further than a half marathon in over six months, all when I should be tapering and resting ahead of the big day on 19th April.

It's one of the biggest challenges I've ever taken on so any sponsorship would be incredibly gratefully received and will help spur me on when I want to lie down and cry at the 15 mile mark.

I'm running with Moya Cole Hospice in the Manchester Marathon 2026!

An amazing cause that provides incredible care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and supports their families and carers across Greater Manchester.

Moya Cole Hospice is a lifeline for many, but with only a third of their funding coming from the NHS, they need to raise £20,000 each day to continue providing their essential services and compassionate care.

Every step I take will help The Hospice to provide essential care for patients and their families. Please support me by donating what you can.

£10.85 could help to continue providing TVs and WiFi for inpatients to enjoy during their stay.

£20.60 could pay for a hand or foot massage with one of their therapists to help a patient or carer relax.

£30.60 could pay for a bereavement session for a loved one with their specialist team.

Thank you for your support!
