Story

Dear Friends

We were so truly grateful for your love, support and concern during the traumatic months following our grandson Hubert's AVM rupture in late October 2022.

His life saving operation was due to the skilled hands of neurosurgeon Dan Brown and his team. Then followed ten weeks hospitalisation. Hubert left hospital in a wheelchair and with a feeding tube to complete an 8 week rehabilitation course at The Children's Trust in Tadworth, Surrey - the only centre for children with brain injuries in England. We now wish to acknowledge his miraculous return to full recovery thanks to the dedicated team at the Trust. We have therefore signed up for the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 7th April and wonder whether you might extend your kindness and sponsor us to raise money for this exceptional charity.

You can read more about Hubert's time at The Children's Trust here:

If you are able to make a donation, please ensure that you opt to provide Gift Aid on your donation (if applicable). This helps The Children's Trust secure an additional 25% income on a donation from HMRC. This is invaluable in our fundraising efforts.
