MS Independence Day - Live Charity Event · 17 May 2025

MS-UK is here to support anyone affected by multiple sclerosis (MS), which affects over 150,000 people in the UK. We empower people with MS to live healthier and happier lives by improving the understanding of the condition and providing support where it is needed most.

Story

I'm on a mission to help people with MS maintain their independence for longer, using health, fitness & mental wellbeing as part of their strategy.

I do this because I grew up with my Mum, who had MS. I watched her decline, not knowing what to do to help. I dedicate my time and energy to helping people with MS, where I wasn't able to help my Mum.

MS Independence Day is a live event where people with MS can learn various methods and up-to-date knowledge on how to maintain their independence and lead a healthier, happier life.

The event, hosted at the Edgbaston Campus of Birmingham University will host a number of experts in various fields of MS health, and some inspirational stories from "real people" with MS.

This is the first of what we hope will become an annual event, and this year, all profits will be donated to our chosen charity, MS-UK.

Although ticket sales for the event have just about covered the cost of the event itself, we really need your help with donations to maximise the amount raised for our chosen charity.

MS-UK was established in 1993, and is a national charity dedicated to empowering people with multiple sclerosis to make the most of today, and live life to the full.

MS-UK put people affected by MS at the heart of the work that they do. They provide high quality, professional services to support people living with multiple sclerosis, and they listen to people affected by MS.
