My Regional Cancer Centre, based in Cheltenham, has provided specialist cancer care for people in our community for more than 60 years. It sees 5,000 new patients every year, a number that is increasing by 8% each year.

Many of the current facilities are over 25 years old and the associated services (eg mental health, rehabilitation and advice for patients and their families) are struggling to meet the capacity and quality levels to be able to make a difference to people going through such a traumatic experience.

The Big Space Cancer Appeal will deliver new infrastructure, help deliver a new patient-centred care model, introduce new technology and improve he holistic services provided. This will transform the treatment and vastly improve the experience of patients and staff. The result will be better care and more effective treatment.
