An Talla Solais arose from a need: while music has traditionally flourished in the Highlands, no dedicated space existed for the visual arts. West Coast residents were out of easy reach of the best contemporary art shows and opportunities.

After six happy years in The Gallery on West Argyle Street, we share your sadness in losing this special place. We remain determined though to continue our mission of bringing contemporary, high quality art to the rural Highlands, and of ensuring that art can be for all. We will continue to do this through our 'Dolphins' project, working with people living with Dementia in Ullapool, our community led work, our residencies, studios and hopefully in the future a Gallery space again. A place to enjoy, marvel in and be inspired by art.
