Story
Hi everyone — Myles here!
This year I’m taking on something I’ve never done before… the Brighton Marathon! Not only is it my first marathon, but it’s also for a charity that means a lot to me and my family: The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT).
CBIT do incredible work supporting children and families whose lives have changed in an instant due to brain injury. My brothers Brad and Gav, along with my colleague Dave from Mark Bates Ltd, have wanted to support this charity for a long time — so when the chance came up to run a marathon and raise money for them, we jumped on it straight away (and then immediately realised we’d now actually have to train for it!).
Training has officially begun… and let’s just say I’ve got a long way to go. But knowing this challenge will make a real difference gives me all the motivation I need to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
My personal fundraising goal is £500, but honestly, I’d love to raise as much as possible for such an amazing cause. Any donation — big or small — will help CBIT continue supporting young people and their families when they need it most.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting me.
Here’s to early mornings, tired legs, and doing something genuinely meaningful! 🟡💙🏃♂️
