Story

Welcome to the Team MBL Brighton Marathon fundraising page!

We are four enthusiastic amateurs with big hearts, questionable pacing strategies, and a slightly too competitive streak:

Myles, Brad, Dave — and our honorary MBL straggler, Gav, who might not be on the payroll but is absolutely part of the family.

This year, we’re taking on something none of us have ever attempted before: our first marathon.

And we’re doing it for a charity that means a great deal to all of us — The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT).

CBIT support children and families whose lives have been turned upside down by brain injury. Their work is truly life-changing, and when the chance came up to run the Brighton Marathon in their honour, we didn’t hesitate…

(although we probably should’ve asked how far 26.2 miles actually feels before saying yes.)

Training is officially underway. Morale is high. Knees are already complaining.

But knowing that our miles will help CBIT continue supporting young people across the UK is what keeps us going.

Our initial team goal is £1,500, but the truth is we’re aiming for far more.

Every donation — big or small — genuinely makes a difference, and we’re incredibly grateful for any support you can give.

Thanks for visiting our page, cheering us on, and helping us make a real impact.

Now… bring on the early mornings, the sore legs, and the friendly competition between us!
