As I know from personal experience, having a stammer, sometimes called a stutter, can make certain things in life, difficult. This can include general communication, having less confidence and having to try much harder in social situations.
Many people choose to hide their stammer, largely because they are embarrassed, and believe it or not, sometimes we cannot even say our own names. My mission, with help from Stamma, is to make stammerers not only proud of who they are but also to raise awareness of the situation. Many people clearly don't understand what a stammer is and how it can effect those affected.
Having a stammer does not make you different; in fact, it makes you more unique. Every donation you (hopefully) make, helps Stamma continue their support of people that have a stutter. In addition, it well help stammerers realise that they are not alone in their battle to be able to communicate effectively, and with those around them, therefore making them more confident in their ability.
People who stammer do not normally get the attention and support they deserve. Its time we change this. Every donation, whether its £2 or £10 will aid a stammerer and help us all strive for a better and more confident future.
Thank you so much in advance for your support and generous donations, every penny will honestly make a difference.
I will be posting updates regularly on this page to inform you of how my training is going, and for fellow stammerers, will be giving tips of how to deal with a stutter.
Lets do this 10k 😊
