Our story.....
As some of you know, in May 2021, 6 months after her 18th birthday, Natasha was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, this was following weeks of extreme vomiting, losing her eyesight (thankfully temporarily) and losing the ability to walk. Natasha has intravenous infusions in hospital every 4 weeks which she has responded amazingly well to and, although she still has symptoms and occasional flares, she manages MS really well.
Natasha will need to continue with these infusions now for the rest of her life or until another more convenient treatment becomes available.
It has taken a lot of hard work both physically and mentally to get to this point but she is able to live a relatively normal life, albeit with a few tweaks…
Natasha is amazing (we are bias!!) and wants to continue busting MS myths and prove life does not end with this diagnosis. She is determined to continue to raise funds for MS-UK to enable more research into this debilitating disease and to try and help more people live their best lives.
On that note, the 3 of us (Natasha, Sharon - mum, Vince - Uncle) feel very privileged to have been asked by MS-UK to participate in the London Marathon 2026 on their behalf. We're hugely honoured and aim to do this accompanied by Natasha's wheelchair which she'll use as and when needed throughout the course of the marathon and we'll push when she needs to rest.
Vince and I (Sharon) are in complete awe of her and are determined to support her in her quest to complete the London marathon. Any donation you are able to give would be hugely appreciated.
