Story
Two years ago, with the help of friends, family, and kind supporters, I managed to raise £405 (£350 + £55 Gift Aid) for Alopecia UK. This year, I’m determined to smash that total.
I’m running for Alopecia UK because someone very close to me is living with alopecia and showing incredible strength every single day. This isn’t just about raising money, it’s about raising awareness and understanding of what living with alopecia really means.
To make it even more challenging, I’m running a marathon with just one month of training, after being out of the gym since 2022. I want to prove that with discipline, the right mindset, and the support of those around us, we can achieve things we never thought possible.
Whether we run alone or together, every step counts. I’m asking not just for donations, but also for your moral and social support, to spread awareness, to inspire, and to remind people that it’s never too late to change, to push yourself, and to become the best version of yourself.
Let’s do this for Alopecia UK, and for everyone who needs that reminder to keep going.
Background:
Alopecia UK is a national charity providing support, community and education to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia.
The charity provides opportunities for people affected by alopecia to connect, share practical advice and feel less isolated.
Alopecia UK also raises awareness of the challenges faced by those with alopecia, in both society and healthcare systems, and champions research by placing those affected by alopecia at the heart of research.
