Story

Dear supporters and donors,

The London Charity event will raise fund for NDAUK. Your contributions will help Opportunity Village Nepal (Shuva Awasar Gram Nepal) and other charity activities that NDAUK supports, if sufficient funds are raised.

OVN-Opportunity Village Nepal was founded in 1998 with the major objective of establishing communities free from human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Currently, OVN is running a childcare home that accommodates 30 girls who are particularly abused, trafficked, and highly vulnerable to trafficking. The organization is implementing projects to prevent internal human trafficking in adult entertainment sectors like dance bars, cabin restaurants, massage parlours, and small hotels. They have been working for the rescue, repatriation, and reintegration of the survivors and victims of human trafficking. The project adopts a 4Ps approach (Prevention, Protection, Prosecution, and Partnership) to combat human trafficking happening across the border, particularly from India to Nepal. Opportunity Village Nepal has built a strong network and coordination with other likeminded organizations. The fund we donate will ensure the enhancement of self-esteem through counselling, medical treatment, and skill development through vocational training, family reunion, followed by support for livelihood activities for the rescued survivors. The staffs will receive training on First Aid, Health support and Psychosocial counselling.

Please do not forget to put your name on the Just Giving Page if you are attending the event. If you are donating but not attending, please mention this on the message which will help us with catering purposes.
