The Key to a New Life

Neil Bayliss is raising money for Black Country Women's Aid

Skydive · 21 June 2025

Imagine never having a key to a safe space you can call your own. Never having a place where you feel secure, warm and protected. Never having somewhere where you are sure that no-one will hurt you.

Story

On 21 June, Team Hubtel IT comprising of Neil, Mike and Julian will be ticking off a life long ambition - to complete a skydive! In doing so we hope to raise funds for Black Country Women's Aid's 'The Key to a New Life' campaign.

Black Country Women's Aid are a local charity and have been a long-term customer of Hubtel IT. They do amazing work in our community so it felt right to dedicate this skydive challenge to them.

Team Hubtel IT would be so grateful to receive any donation. Please read below to see how the funds will be used.

The Key to a New Life

Imagine never having a key to a safe space you can call your own. Never having a place where you feel secure, warm and protected. Never having somewhere where you are sure that no-one will hurt you.

In 2024 Black Country Women's Aid had to turn away over two thirds of people who applied for refuge because of a lack of spaces. This reflects a national shortage of safe house provision.

The Key to a New Life campaign is raising funds to build 10 new flats specifically designed to provide safe, secure, and supportive housing for women and families who have experienced domestic abuse.
