Neil's story is one that embodies the true meaning of resilience, passion, and determination. After working for 45 years in the hustle and bustle of London, Neil is finally retiring and embarking on a journey that has been his dream for as long as he can remember. But this journey is more than just a challenge or way to relax and unwind after years of hard work - it's a chance for him to give back to the charity and recognise some of the brave volunteers who provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts, ready day or night to help those in distress around our shores.

Ten years ago, Neil suffered a heart attack that changed his perspective on life. He realized that happiness and freedom were not things that could be taken for granted and that he needed to seize every opportunity to live life to the fullest. And what better way to do that than by the challenge of sailing around the coasts of Great Britain with his friend Shaun in a 29ft sail boat? They hope to visit as many RNLI stations as they can to meet and hear from those brave men and women volunteer's.

As they journey around the coast, Neil is raising money for two charities that are close to his heart - the British Heart Foundation and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. These organizations have provided support and care for Neil, and he wants to give back by raising awareness and funds to help others who may be going through similar experiences.
