Story
My dad was a keen runner and sportsman who inspired me and my brothers to get involved in sport and challenge ourselves. Much of my love of running comes from him.
Dad was diagnosed with ocular melanoma, a rare eye cancer. He lost his eye, but never his courage. He adapted with remarkable resilience and continued to live life with positivity and determination. When the cancer spread, he faced it with incredible strength and dignity until we sadly lost him at the age of 70.
This marathon is my way of honouring his memory and supporting a charity that meant so much to our family.
OMUK provides specialist information and support to people affected by ocular melanoma and their loved ones, including a helpline, psychological support, trusted information, online communities, and opportunities to connect with others who truly understand.
OMUK was there for Dad and for our family when we needed it most. That's why I'm proud to be part of Team OMUK. Every donation will help them continue to support people facing this devastating disease.
Every mile is for Dad. Every donation helps create hope for families affected by ocular melanoma.
Thank you for your support ❤️
