Story
Team OMUK is taking on the London Marathon 2027
In April 2027, our incredible Team OMUK runners will take on 26.2 miles through the streets of London to raise vital funds for people affected by ocular melanoma.
Every mile they run, and every donation they receive, will help Ocular Melanoma UK continue to be there for patients and families facing this rare and life-changing cancer.
Why we're running
Around 750 people are diagnosed with ocular melanoma in the UK each year.
Because it is rare, people affected by ocular melanoma can feel isolated and may struggle to find information and support that understands the particular challenges of their diagnosis.
OMUK exists to change that.
We provide trusted information, specialist support, our helpline, psychological support, online communities, events and opportunities for people affected by ocular melanoma to connect with others who understand.
For approximately half of patients, ocular melanoma will eventually spread to other parts of the body, making our work supporting patients and their loved ones throughout every stage of their experience especially important.
Meet Team OMUK
Our London Marathon runners each have their own reason for taking on this extraordinary challenge.
Over the coming months, we'll be sharing their stories, following their training and cheering them on as they prepare for the start line.
They have committed not only to running 26.2 miles, but to raising vital funds and awareness for a rare cancer that far too few people have heard of.
Your support makes a difference
Every donation to Team OMUK helps us continue providing support to people affected by ocular melanoma across the UK.
Whether you give £5, £25, £100 or more, you'll be helping us make sure that nobody affected by ocular melanoma has to face their diagnosis without specialist information, support and a community around them.

Please donate what you can and help us get Team OMUK to the finish line.
26.2 miles. One Team OMUK. A community behind them every step of the way.
Thank you for your support.
