Story
It is important for my disabled son to feel independent! He is a full time wheelchair user and as he gets older his needs are increasing. The adaptations will support the property, to make it safe, inclusive, and functional for the whole family, whilst enabling my son to live as independent life as possible.
He requires a wet room, bedroom and extra living area for which a grant from housing has been agreed to but unfortunately this doesn't cover the full costs. The £30,000 extra is just for the building works which are required to make this happen so it will improve the quality and independence for him, and any extra over the £30k would be put to flooring, and furniture needed to complete the room.
As parents all we are trying to create is a home where our son can thrive with his disability.
