Nathan and I will be completing an ambitious 300‑mile cycling challenge across Italy, raising funds and awareness for Rugby League Cares, the sport’s official charity.
The multi‑day ride will take us through challenging terrain and long distances, testing both physical endurance and mental resilience. The challenge was undertaken to support the vital work of Rugby League Cares, which delivers life‑changing programmes focused on mental health, education, physical activity, and social inclusion across communities in the UK and beyond.

The Rugby League Cares Cycling Challenge to Italy brings together purpose, adventure, and the spirit of the sport. This unique event takes riders through one of Europe’s most spectacular cycling landscapes over five incredible days, covering approximately 300 miles through the heart of Tuscany. Visiting iconic destinations including Florence, Arezzo, San Quirico, and San Gimignano, before finishing back in Pisa.
How are donations used?
All money raised will support seriously injured players via the auspices of the Benevolent Fund, and to enable the important work taking place around brain health in the sport to continue.
