This March I'll be running the Shamrock Half Marathon in honor of my friend and fellow aviator, Captain John "Bag" Hefti, who was tragically taken from us in 2021. John wasn't just a legendary F-14 pilot and TOPGUN graduate; he was a leader who dedicated his life to training the next generation of warriors and mentoring youth in our community. Whether he was in the cockpit of a Tomcat or on a baseball diamond coaching local kids, "Bag" embodied the spirit of service, humility, and excellence.

I am raising funds for Bag’s Buddies, the Captain John "Bag" Hefti USN Memorial Scholarship Foundation, which provides scholarships and support for youth sports to ensure every child has the chance to lead and play, regardless of financial barriers. Your contribution helps keep John’s legacy of mentorship alive by empowering future leaders to reach their own "full-burner" potential.
