Bail me out! I've been locked up for Maggie's.

Nick Harrison is raising money for Maggie's Centres
Fourteen local business leaders have been found guilty of outrageous charges and locked up for Maggie's Aberdeen. With only a phone, laptop and their powers of persuasion, they now need your help to raise funds to pay their bail and get out of jail.

Story

I am one of 14 local business leaders and influencers who have been locked up for Maggie's. I've been found guilty of 'Persistently liking Heavy Metal music', and sent down with bail set at a minimum of £1,000.

With only my phone, laptop and my powers of persuasion, I need your help to raise funds to pay bail and escape jail!

"Maggies is an extraordinary charity providing support to both those going through the devastating experience of dealing with cancer and their families. Maggies was there from the start when my wife Trudy was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in November 2018 giving her space and support as and when she needed it. Validating her feelings and lifting her up during gruelling rounds of treatment.

And when Trudy passed away in October 2022, Maggies were still there for me and my family, helping us navigate grief and supporting us to move forward. Having people at the centre who would always make us welcome was so vital."

For many people living in the Northeast, Maggie's Aberdeen is a beacon of hope, offering a unique programme of practical and psychological support, available free of charge to people at any stage and with any type of cancer, and to their family and friends.

Maggie’s Aberdeen opened its doors in 2013, and by the end of 2026 they expect to have welcomed and supported over 100,000 visits, delivered thousands of one-to-one psychologist sessions, and secured over £9million in financial benefits for local people. They rely entirely on voluntary donations and gifts in wills to fund their work, and with instances of cancer 1 in 2 people, there is huge demand for the support they provide.

Please donate to bail me out (or keep me in!) and support Maggie’s – every £ will help.
