It's a small charity targeting socially disadvantaged children who are struggling to develop the core skill of literacy. Research shows low literacy is linked to poverty and social exclusion and that making children confident readers is the easiest way to improve their life opportunities. To work towards their vision of making “every child a reader’ they provide reading materials, organise early literacy classes (0–4-year-olds), deliver regular parent talks and workshops and offer weekly one-to-one support to primary-age children to improve reading skills and build confidence
