Daisy and Wills are walking for LOOK.

They have challenged themselves to do 31 Miles each over the summer holidays for the 31 days of August.

They will both be walking throughout the month in aid of supporting the LOOK charity to raise awareness of visual impairment. This maybe walking around at home in the garden our local area, at park's, in town, out and about on day trips and even on holiday to beat the challenge they set themselves.

They are both excited to raise vital funds for LOOK charity. LOOK is a small charity and are the only organisation in the UK offering mentoring for visually impaired (VI) young people. They have a fantastic team of 200 VI volunteer mentors who use their lived experience to give top tips that no teacher or professional can.

After experiencing first hand, the impact of news in relation to visual impairment issue for any child has resonated with us as a family.

Wills, has recently under gone an eye surgery and has now started patching for low vision in one of his eyes. We are just at the start of our journey in the hope his vision over time will start to improve.

The process or diagnosis to treatment can be traumatic for children and also parents as any change can be unsettling. The worry we have as parent's is second to none and it can be isolating and lonely to think you are alone in your journey. Look offers vital support, guidance, informative information and support which is greatly needed to all experiencing any issues surrounding eye conditions
