Story
I’m taking on the Pilgrims Way Challenge on Saturday, 20th June 2026, and I won’t be trekking alone!
I’m joined by a plucky group of colleagues from Clear Safety as we take on a 35km hike from Dover to Canterbury. We’ll be winding our way through the gorgeous Kent countryside, but I have a very special reason for every step I take.
Walking for Grandad 🍷⛳️☀️
I am walking in loving memory of my grandad, David Walton. He was a one-of-a-kind. All-weather-golf mad, chess player, bread maker, wine brewer, family chauffeur, and someone I miss dearly. He went into respite and was cared for by the Pilgrims Hospices team both at the hospice and at home, so taking on this challenge feels like the perfect way to support a vital local cause that had such a huge impact on our family.
Why it matters ❤️
Pilgrims Hospices provides skilled, compassionate end-of-life care, free of charge, to thousands of people across East Kent every year. Your donations ensure that other families receive the same incredible support during their most difficult times.
Thank you so much for visiting my page, donating, or even just sharing this post. Your support means the world to me, and the rest of the Clear Safety walking team!
