F*!K Brain Tumours Run 2026 · 24 October 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

If ever there was a cause to swear about, it's this. Brain tumours change lives. They take away futures, plans and people we love. And that gives us something worth running for. Take that anger. That frustration. That determination. Run with it.

Story

This year, at just 21yrs old my daughter Rhianna was diagnosed with a grade 3 Astrocytoma. The cover photo was 1 week before her diagnosis, none of us had any idea.

I haven’t felt it necessary to share our story beyond our family & close friends so if you aren’t aware already please don’t feel offended and please do get in touch.

The F*!K brain tumours run is designed to be 5km or 13km for the reasons further down the page. As I’m fortunate enough to be able to say these distances aren’t particularly challenging for me, I’ve decided to aim for at least 26km - we’ll see 😅

Personally I need to keep finding positive ways to move forwards and when I saw this week that The Brain Tumour Charity’s ‘F*!k Brain Tumours’ run was organised for the day of Rhianna’s birthday, it felt right to join in.

I picked up running regularly again this year after being very intermittent over the last 8yrs so this is a decent challenge with limited time to work towards it. But it’s nothing compared to what Rhianna is managing with the most incredible resilience, grace and strength at just 21yrs old.

If you are able, please support by donating to the campaign here or otherwise simply continue being there for us - the most important support for any family in this position.

The original distances for the campaign are set for the following reasons

5000+

Each year in the UK, more than 5,000 people die from primary brain tumours.

13%

Just 13% of adults diagnosed with a primary high grade brain tumour will survive for five years or longer.

Loved Ones

Every diagnosis affects families, friends and loved ones.

£300 could fund an entire day of world-class research on a project working to find kinder, better treatments for brain tumours.

£500 could fund more than 20 hours of support from our Young Adults team for young adults affected by a brain tumour.

£1,000 could support research into childhood brain tumours by covering the cost of RNA sequencing for 12 months on a research project investigating paediatric brain tumours.
