Story

This year, I’m proud to take on an incredible challenge: swimming 10km with my teammates at the London Aquatics Centre in support of SEO London, a charity that’s been breaking barriers and building futures for 25 years. SEO London empowers young people from underrepresented backgrounds, helping them turn ambition into achievement and access careers they may have once thought out of reach.

Their impact is real. Every year, thousands of talented students gain the skills, networks and confidence they need to thrive in industries where diversity is still lacking.

This summer, I’ll be swimming 10km (400 lengths) as part of a 25-mile Channel Swim Relay to mark 25 years of SEO London’s impact—and to raise vital funds for the next 25.

I’ve seen this impact firsthand:

– Over the past month, I’ve volunteered with SEO, meeting incredible individuals and supporting students entering the financial world under the guidance of the formidable Chang Yate Tan.

– More personally, my father, Randolph Sesson Jr., benefited from SEO US back in the 1980s. Coming from a disadvantaged background, SEO helped him break into banking—a trajectory that changed the course of his life and, ultimately, mine.

As a competitive swimmer, I’ve always loved the sport and have spent up to 16 hours a week in the pool. Swimming is how I relax—and now, jumping back in the pool for charity and taking on 400 lengths feels like the best way to give back and raise awareness for an organisation that’s changed so many lives.

Please support my swim. Every donation helps fuel a young person’s journey to success
