Story
2 years after I said I would never do another half marathon and here I am on a Friday morning, raising money for Tŷ Hafan.
As most of you know I am fortunate to be a twin to the beautiful Stacey Louise Butler. Sadly Stacey passed away a few days after our 10th birthday and I truly believe if it wasn't for Tŷ Hafan this would have happened sooner in our life. Stacey was one of the first children Ty Hafan welcomed with open arms and it was her safe haven.
Tŷ Hafan purely relies on fundraising as they are not government funded and with it being their 25th anniversary this year, what better way to say thank you than attempting the Cardiff half marathon. Strong emphasis on 'attempting'.
Every year it costs £5.6 million for Ty Hafan to provide their specialist care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families.
Not only did they help make Stacey's life more comfortable but even now since her passing they still support my family all these years and I would be grateful if you could help me show them my support by contributing to this fundraiser.
Thank you for taking the time to read this,
Nicole :)
