Well, here I am... taking part in Pendleside Does Strictly 2026!

I have to admit, this wasn't entirely my idea. I was "kindly" nominated by my so-called friend Krissy, who clearly thought watching me attempt to dance would be entertaining for everyone involved!

I'm feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves. At the moment, I think it's fair to say I dance more like an elephant than a Strictly star, but I'm hoping that with plenty of lessons and the patience of my amazing dance partner Lucy, she can work some magic and transform me into something a little more graceful by show night.

Jokes aside, Pendleside Hospice holds a very special place in my heart. Eighteen years ago, they cared for my dad during the final stages of his illness. Not only did they provide outstanding care for him, but they also supported our family through one of the most difficult times of our lives. The kindness, compassion and comfort they gave us is something I will never forget.

Taking part in this event feels like a small way of giving something back and helping Pendleside continue their incredible work, supporting patients and families when they need it most.

So please help me and Lucy on this journey by donating whatever you can. Every penny raised will help Pendleside Hospice continue to provide the care and support that means so much to so many people.
