Story
Dear friends, colleagues and family
I will be cycling 500km from London 2 Paris from Thursday 4th June to Monday 8th June to raise funds for the blood cancer charity Cure Leukaemia — because every 27 seconds someone across the globe is diagnosed with some form of blood cancer.
I have funded the trip myself so every penny I raise will help to fund specialist research nurses across the UK. These nurses connect patients with pioneering clinical trials, giving them access to the latest treatments.
These trials don’t just save lives — they also accelerate global progress towards curing all forms of this disease.
My brother Paul was diagnosed with a rare form of blood cancer in 2007 known as Hairy Cell Leukaemia, he is currently in full remission and without the sterling work of blood cancer charities his prognosis could have been so different.
Please do sponsor me if at all possible as 'every little helps' as they say as we must push on with these events to help eradicate blood cancer forever.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this and I wish you all well
Kindest regards
Nigel x
