Story
Five years ago, our good friend Becca received a cancer diagnosis. Rather than limiting her approach to life, she has used this experience to challenge herself year after year, and fundraise in various ways for the brilliant charity that is Cancer Research UK.
This year, she and I are taking part in the Tenby Tywyn 400 endurance event, cycling from Tenby to Tywyn and back again, taking in 5,200m of climbing over a 408km distance. We start at 9pm on Saturday 8 June (my 51st Birthday) and will finish, well, when we finish. Even my most experienced cycling friends think we are mad.
The only charity I could possibly support in this is the one she has chosen, so please, give what you can to Cancer Research UK because it will be that motivation that drives us on in the middle of the night, through the early hours of the morning and throughout Sunday, until we finally reach the finish line in Tenby, hopefully sometime before 9pm that evening.
