I am riding the London to Brighton with Team SCTS on 13 September, in support of the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery.

My mother had a heart condition that needed treatment when she was younger, and I grew up understanding what good cardiac care means to a family. It is a large part of why I am now studying medicine and working toward a career in cardiac surgery.

SCTS supports the surgeons and teams who do this work, through education, training and research that pushes patient care forward. Every pound raised goes toward that, better outcomes for people in heart, chest and lung surgery, and better training for the people who look after them.
