If you don’t know who Derian House are, then you’re one of the lucky ones.

My niece, Holly, passed away in 2023 at the age of just 15. Although she had a terminal illness, her passing was very sudden and unexpected. It absolutely devastated our entire family.

Derian House were amazing, at a time when we didn’t know up from down. They put Holly on an ice bed in a refrigerated room, which gave us a week to spend with her before she had to go to a funeral home.

The time that we were able to spend with her in that week was invaluable. All because of Derian House.

They provided a self contained flat for my sister and brother in law for the whole time that Holly was with them, along with a second flat for other members of family to use. Even now, almost two years on, they’re providing counseling for the family.

Derian House is one of those charities that you hope you’ll never need. But the reality is, for hundreds of families (including ours), they give grieving families the help and support that they need at a time when they need it most. And they do this for families across the whole of the North West (they’re based in Chorley).

I honestly don’t know what we would’ve done without them.

My husband, Jimmy, and one of our friends, Danny, are doing a sky dive on Friday 15th August, to raise money for this amazing charity. Jumping out of a plane from 15,000ft. As you do! (rather them than me)! So, please, please, please donate as much as you can to sponsor them

This charity is, obviously, very close to our hearts so the more money we can raise, the happier we will be!
