I am running my sixth Superhalf in memory of Larissa Gross.

I was lucky enough to meet Larissa through a WhatsApp group chat that was set up to hold us all accountable through lockdown, to make sure we got out the door for our daily walks and runs, but which ended up being far more than that.

Of any of us, Larissa was always the one who was ready with some well-thought out, rational, and above all, kind advice, and was always ready to listen.

In 2024, she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, but still somehow managed to be the voice of reason and comfort to others through her treatment.

We lost Larissa in November 2025, and I found a lot of solace in running. By running the Prague Half Marathon in April 2027, I'd like to raise funds for the excellent work that bigmoose do so that people who aren't lucky enough to have a Larissa in their lives can still find help and support.
