Join the Newport News Commissioner of the Revenue's Office this August as we participate in the 8th Annual Commissioners & Cans Statewide Food & Fund Drive!
Commissioner of the Revenue offices across Virginia are teaming up in a little friendly competition with one important goal: helping local food banks and pantries provide meals for families facing food insecurity during a time of year when donations are traditionally low and the need remains high.
This year, Team Newport News is proud to support the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, and we would love your help!
Ways to Participate
🥫 Donate Food
Drop off nonperishable food items at our Downtown or Denbigh office throughout August.
💙 Give a Monetary Donation
Every dollar helps your local food bank purchase exactly what our community needs most.
🏢 Host a Mini Drive
Businesses, churches, schools, civic groups, and neighborhood organizations are invited to collect food or funds and join the campaign. Contact our Facebook page or call 757-926-3843 to coordinate donation pickup!
📣 Share the Event
Invite your friends, family, and coworkers to help us spread the word.
