Story
Hi! A lot of you know who I am now having fundraised for the last 3 yrs.
On 7th November 2022, I lost my Dad (who was only 53 yrs old) to a brain tumour.
I've just turned 14 yrs old and every year Im trying to raise more each year for this charity.
Dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2012 and went through two craniotomies, radiotherapy and oral radiotherapy cycles.
Dad (Kev) was AMAZING! I miss him every day. He was funny, kind and gentle. He was the best Dad that I could ever wish for. He always put me first. He loved pottering in his garage and was a great carpenter. He was creative, aspiring and someone I always looked up too. We loved riding our bikes together, going camping, laughing and playing Gran Turismo. He loved motorbikes, being outdoors and spending time with family. He loved a roast, a Disaronno, building Lego, making things and so much more. He was taken away too quickly. Dad was incredibly selfless, being in the Army and then servicing as a police officer.
The way Dad smiled and laughed was infectious. We loved rugby, we loved playing in the garden, shooting some hoops and messing around.
This November, I will be doing the challenge of completing 99 miles throughout November again. Be that walking to school, playing rugby and football, riding my bike, walking or running.
Please help me to reach my goal of £1500 for Brain Tumour Research- they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK.
Brain Tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocating to this devasting disease.
Please help me fund the fight- together we will find a cure.
