Story
✨☮️ Cycling for peace and justice 🌈✨
In September, we're cycling 1600 km across the length of the UK from Cornwall to the northeast of Scotland. We're riding in solidarity with the Palestinian people and to raise money for the Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA) to provide food, healthcare and other essential aid for children and families in Gaza.
This is a cause close to both our hearts, and we hope you will join us in contributing any amount you can – and in supporting the ongoing campaign for peace, justice, equality and freedom for Palestinians.
The Big Ride for Palestine is partnering with MECA to provide emergency aid in Gaza right now - for more information:

From MECA's website:
Challenge
Half the Palestinian population are children. In Gaza, they are being bombed, blockaded, and occupied. Families are on the brink of starvation. In the West Bank, Israeli attacks have also forced communities to flee their homes. More than 40,000 people are displaced, the most in decades. Israeli settler violence is on the rise and there are increasing numbers of checkpoints dividing the West Bank causing more poverty.
Solution
MECA works for the rights and well-being of children. We have been working in Palestine for 36 years. With the support of The Big Ride for Palestine, MECA and our local partners will provide food parcels, hot meals, clean drinking water, and other essential aid to families impacted by Israel's attacks across Palestine. And we will provide psychosocial support for traumatised children whenever it is possible including sports and other physical activities.
