Story
Zakat ul-Fitr (also called Sadaqat-al-Fitr or Fitrana) is an obligatory donation in Islam, given before the Eid-al-Fitr prayer to help those in need during the holiday. Unlike annual Zakat, it usually involves giving a set amount of food or its value to those in need as an act of purifying the fast and support the less fortunate. Zakat al-Fitr practices can differ based on Islamic schools and local traditions.
This Ramadan, we are collecting your Fitrana and giving it to those who need it most through Islamic Relief.
