We're feeling rather worried about Bubba tonight (21 January 2026) and ask for your good thoughts for him, please, and if you're able to make a donation towards his vet bills, we'd be very grateful for that too. Please spare a thought for his fosterers too.

Bubba came into Oldies Club care two months ago. His person had sadly passed away and Bubba had been under local authority care. Bubba had to have a biopsy on his back leg recently and unfortunately, the wound site hasn't healed as hoped. It keeps bleeding and so he has had to return to the vets for frequent dressing changes. The vets are trying various things to do their best to help him, in consultation with us.

Earlier today, his vet debrided the skin around the edge of the biopsy site and put foam within the wound to stimulate healing, with further stitches. A swab has been taken to check for infection and Bubba has been given antibiotics. Bleeding has seemed to slow today, but following a little bleed earlier, he is staying at the vets overnight for monitoring.

Please keep Bubba in your thoughts and please donate what you can towards his vet bills. We'll provide an update on him when we can and advise of the cost when we know it. Thank you.
