🌟 A Life-Changing Challenge: My London Marathon Journey for NASS 🌟
Over a decade ago, I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), a chronic and painful spinal disease that has profoundly shaped my life. Living with 7+ damaged discs in my neck, back, and spine, every day comes with its challenges. Yet, I have held onto one goal: to push my limits and give back by completing the London Marathon.
In 2025, I have been given the chance to fulfil that dream. To say that I am nervous is an understatement—this will likely be the hardest physical challenge I’ve ever faced. I don’t know if my body will carry me all the way to the finish line, but I promise to give it everything I have.
This journey isn’t just for me; it’s for the thousands of people like me who live with axial spondyloarthritis. That’s why I’m fundraising for the National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society (NASS), a charity that supports, educates, and advocates for those battling this condition.
💔 Why this matters
Axial spondyloarthritis (axial SpA) is more than just back pain—it’s a lifelong struggle with inflammation, limited mobility, and uncertainty. Many suffer in silence without the support they need. Together, we can change that.
💖 How you can help
Please join me in this mission by donating to my fundraiser for NASS. Every contribution—big or small—will make a difference to someone’s life.
👉 Donate here: Your generosity and encouragement will fuel every step of my journey.
This marathon is more than just 26.2 miles—it’s a testament to resilience, hope, and the power of community. Thank you for believing in me and supporting this incredible cause.
With gratitude,
Oliver 🙏🏻
