Story
When Olly was buried by an avalanche in the French Alps on Sunday 11th Jan, it was the equivalent of the Devon Air Ambulance service that gave him his best shot at survival.
Accompanied by a paramedic, the longline rescue effort saw him transported from Meribel to Chambery Hospital's ICU in no more than 20 minutes.
Sadly, it wasn't to be, but to mark their deep expertise in a specialist field, we have decided to try to raise £40k for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust in memory of Olly.
Were he around to join us, we suspect Olly would have opted for the 10k over the half marathon, using the time saved to lean into some refreshment & cheer on his mates!
Either way, whether you're running, supporting, donating, or all 3, please give generously in memory of a young man taken too soon, who will never be forgotten & will always be in our hearts.
Thank you.
