Story
One More Mile
One More Mile is a 72-hour endurance challenge where runners push beyond their limits to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
From 27th to 30th August, participants will run as many miles as they can, whether that's 5 miles or 200. Every mile will be added to a live total, shared through regular updates on our social media, bringing runners and supporters together for one powerful cause.
This challenge is designed to push physical and mental boundaries. Growth happens when things get tough, when stopping feels easier, but you choose to take just one more mile. That mindset is what Project Ascent is all about.
Our Story
Over the past two years, our team—Project Ascent—has raised over £25,000 through endurance-based charity challenges.

2024:
4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours, £10,000 raised for Cancer Research UK.

2025:
4 miles every 4 hours for 96 hours, £15,000 raised for the Hospice of St Francis, who provided incredible care for my Grandfather and many other people locally.

What started as a challenge between friends has grown into a powerful fundraising movement driven by discipline, resilience, and purpose.
Now aged 18, we're taking things to the next level with our biggest and most inclusive challenge yet, One More Mile, supporting the life-changing work of Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Our Mission
We believe limits are meant to be challenged. Each year, we take on something that feels impossible, and every year, we prove it's not. But this is about more than running. It's about turning effort into impact and pushing ourselves to help children and families who face challenges far greater than ours.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
If you can't run, you can still be part of the journey by supporting us and sharing this page.
Support Great Ormond Street Hospital
Great Ormond Street Hospital provides world-class care to seriously ill children and vital support to their families. Your donation helps fund life-saving equipment, ground breaking research, and essential patient services.
Together, mile by mile, we can make a lasting impact.
