Story

Scarborough Air Cadets is excited to support the work of Mencap by participating in September's "One Big Walk".

On 28th September, the squadron will be embarking on a 4-mile sponsored walk around the local area to raise funds for a new centre to help those with learning disabilities.

The walk will commence at the Squadron building behind the old Army Reserve centre and head west along the cinder track to Station Road. The group will then head east and cross over the A165 to reach the Cleveland Way. After a short walk down to Scalby Mills, the route will follow the North Bay promenade round to Peasholm and head through Peasholm Park. The final leg of the walk is through Dean Road Cemetery and back onto the cinder track, finishing at the cadet centre. The total is distance is approximately 4 ½ miles which should take a little over an hour to complete.

Please support our cadets as they participate in this worthwile cause.
