Story
We are a newly united team as staff from The Royal Brompton Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and Evelina London Paediatric Intensive Care Unit have come together on one site to provide the highest quality care for the babies, children and young people who require intensive care. We are celebrating this with a huge and ambitious charity fundraising challenge:
' One Million, One Team' .
Our aim is to walk, run, cycle, row, ski. kayak - in fact cover by any self propelled means, a million miles in the coming year June 2026-June 2027. We would like to raise funds for Evelina London Children's Intensive Care Unit and South Thames Retrieval Service (our regional transport service for critically ill children).
Our fundraising goal has to be a million, to match the million miles we will cover in distance. This is a dream which we hope you can help us make a reality.
We would like to raise vital funds to cover the cost of a new dedicated intensive care ambulance especially kitted out with the latest equipment for our team to use to move the sickest babies and children who need to go to a tertiary hospital for intensive care. We would also like to raise money for funds to support the families of children who are admitted to our children's intensive care unit, as many arrive without even basic essentials.
We are planning many events to generate miles, but need your support in sponsoring us. Please give generously to enable us to continue to provide outstanding care to the critically ill children in our region and their families.
