Those of you who know me will know I’ve had a few battles with mental health and addiction. This June, I’m climbing Snowdon with some friends to raise funds for Mind UK. All proceeds go directly towards supporting and advocating for those suffering with mental health problems alongside development and provision of local services.

In addition, Mind is partnered with the Alzheimer’s Society, a cause close to my heart as a neurodegenerative disease played its part in the loss of my Grandfather, David, a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, it’s a fact that mental health issues and neurological diseases affect the families and those closest to us as strongly as they do ourselves. This is why the support networks provided by the likes of Mind and the Alzheimer’s Society benefit more than the sole parties involved. I deem this a fit cause to be supported and hope you agree.
