Help Us Build a Lifeline: Hardship Fund for Nepalese IMG Doctors

When my husband and I first arrived in the UK in 2005, we were filled with hope and dreams for a brighter future. But our journey was far from easy. Finding a job was a struggle, and within just three months, our savings were gone. We couldn’t turn to our parents for help, and it was only through the kindness of our sisters that we managed to keep going-counting every penny, worrying about rent, bills, and the uncertainty of tomorrow.

Today, many International Medical Graduate (IMG) doctors of Nepalese origin are walking the same difficult path. They arrive in the UK with aspirations to serve, to heal, and to build a better life. But the reality is often harsh: finding work is more challenging than ever, and some have been forced to return to Nepal after running out of money, time, or visa options. Emergencies can strike at any moment, and not everyone has family here to turn to in times of crisis.

My Goal

I am raising £1,000 to establish the NDAUK Hardship Fund-a dedicated emergency fund to provide immediate financial assistance to Nepalese IMG doctors in the UK facing unexpected hardship.
