Story
Support the Palestinians' sponsored walks on 3rd August!
Young Palestinians will be doing sponsored hikes in their own areas in all of Abu Dis, Aizariyeh, Al Walajeh, Hebron, Beit Leed, Qabalan, New Askar, Jenin, Silwan... It isn't practical or.safe to bring them all together at this time so they will walk in their own areas. In each each place they will find eight places with stories - they will take photos and write down the stories...
They are seeking sponsorship to help fund three CADFA visits to the UK this year. CADFA has no big funders - depends on fundraising to run the visits - and the young people want to join the visits... so
PLEASE HELP if you can!
More about the visits
Youth visits give young Palestinians the opportunity to meet young people from the UK, share experiences together and tell each other about their lives. This is a window on the world for these young people and a window on Palestine for everyone they meet.
The young Palestinians meet young people in the UK through schools and youth clubs, explore the places they visit and contribute to public events where others also can hear about Palestine. The feedback from the young people, leaders and helpers on both sides is very good and CADFA is proud to run safe and happy visits despite the terrible context we are in.
Through co-operation between partners across the country, we have so far done quite well at fundraising for the first visit. In September-October, we will be bringing young Palestinians to Wales any to London - look at the website CADFA.org for news on the visit.
In November, we want to concentrate on the North of England and would appreciate your donation to help us bring a group of fourteen-year-olds on an exciting exchange to Lancashire, Yorkshire and London.
We will then get on with funding a visit to London and the area around it in February 2026. We would appreciate any help you can give.
