We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

I am running the London Marathon this year in memory of my Father. He died 6 years ago of dementia.

This is a cruel illness. He was an incredibly clever man. He was well aware of the deterioration of his memory and intellect until late in the disease process. He found this terrifying. To watch your father’s personality disappear day by day is an awful thing to witness.

His dementia affected his frontal lobe which resulted in him becoming quite aggressive as he reached the end stage. This was incredibly hard for the whole family. He required specialist care as he no longer recognised us and became increasingly confused and frightened

I don’t want another person to go through this illness. I don’t want another family to watch it happen. Please help me raise money for Alzheimer’s Research. We can cure this disease.
